WAC Lighting WAC-PD-26611 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Can the WAC Elementum PD-26611 pendant be hung from a sloped ceiling?
Yes. The canopy on the 3.5 inch Elementum pendant includes a hang straight swivel, so it self-levels on a sloped ceiling. The canopy is 6 inches in diameter and mounts to a ceiling outlet box.
2) How low can the PD-26611 Elementum pendant hang over a kitchen island or bar?
Hanging range is 16 inches minimum to 120 inches maximum overall. It ships with 10 ft (120 inches) of wire plus three 12 inch downrods and one 6 inch downrod, so you can make up most drops out of the box; extra downrods are sold separately if you need an intermediate length. The fixture body itself is 11 inches tall and 3.5 inches in diameter.
3) Will the Elementum PD-26611 pendant run on 277V in a commercial building?
Yes. The driver is universal input, 120V, 240V or 277V, so the same part number works on residential 120V and commercial 277V circuits. It is hardwired, not plug-in.
4) What dimmer do I need for the WAC Elementum LED pendant?
It requires an electronic low voltage (ELV) dimmer for smooth continuous dimming. A standard incandescent/TRIAC wall dimmer is not the right control for this fixture, so spec ELV when you order the switches.
5) Can the PD-26611 pendant be used in a covered porch or over a shower?
It is damp location rated and IP44, which covers indoor use and covered exterior locations like a soffit or porch ceiling. It is not wet rated, so keep it out of direct rain or spray.
6) Which color temperatures and finish does the PD-26611 Elementum pendant come in?
Satin nickel is the finish, offered in 2700K (PD-26611-27-SN), 3000K (PD-26611-SN) and 3500K (PD-26611-35-SN). Custom CCTs are a special order. If you are matching a row of pendants on one job, order all units on the same CCT suffix so the light looks consistent.
7) How much light does one 3.5 inch Elementum pendant put out, and do I need a bulb?
Output is 1187 lumens from a 15W integrated LED, rated 65,000 hours average. The LED is built in and included, so there is no lamp to buy and nothing to relamp later. The distribution is a flood through mouth blown opal etched glass, which spreads light rather than spotting it.
8) Does the PD-26611 meet California Title 24?
Yes, the Elementum PD-26611 is listed Title 24 compliant and Title 20 compliant, and it carries ETL and cETL listings for US and Canadian installs.
9) Is the glass on the Elementum pendant serviceable, and what is the body made of?
The shade is mouth blown etched opal glass with a twist lock mount, so it comes off and back on without tools for cleaning. Canopy and body construction is aluminum with a plated finish.
10) Is the WAC Elementum pendant ADA compliant or Energy Star rated?
No on both counts. The PD-26611 is not ADA compliant and not Energy Star rated. ADA matters for wall-mounted projection, so for a ceiling-hung pendant over an island or table it is rarely the governing requirement, but if your spec calls for Energy Star fixtures this one will not satisfy it.
