WAC Lighting WAC-PD-33732 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Can the Corso PD-33732 be installed on a sloped or vaulted ceiling?
Yes, cable suspension on the Corso is rated for slope ceiling mounting. It is a ceiling-mount, hardwired fixture and the driver sits inside the round canopy, so you need a ceiling box that will take the canopy plus the driver behind it. The canopy measures 7.88 inches across.
2) Will the WAC Corso pendant run on 277V commercial power?
Yes. The Corso uses a universal input driver covering 120V, 240V and 277V, so the same part number works on a residential 120V circuit or a 277V lighting branch in a commercial building. No separate voltage version to specify.
3) What dimmer works with the Corso PD-33732 LED pendant?
It dims on an electronic low voltage (ELV) dimmer or a 0-10V control, smooth and continuous. A standard incandescent/forward-phase wall dimmer is not the right control here, so if you are replacing an older fixture on a legacy dimmer, plan on swapping the control as part of the job.
4) Can the Corso PD-33732 go in a covered porch or a bathroom?
It carries a damp location rating with IP44 ingress protection, so a covered exterior ceiling, a porch soffit, or a bathroom outside the shower spray zone is within its rating. It is not a wet location fixture, so do not hang it where it takes direct rain.
5) Do the LEDs in the WAC Corso pendant get replaced, or is the whole fixture disposable at end of life?
The LED modules are integrated, not lamped, so there is no bulb to stock or change. Rated life is 75,000 hours, which is why WAC calls it maintenance-free. For a property manager that means no relamping ladder trips, but it also means the fixture is the serviceable unit rather than the lamp.
6) Does the Corso PD-33732 meet California Title 24 for a lighting permit?
Yes, it is listed as Title 24 compliant and Title 20 compliant, and it is ETL and cETL certified for the US and Canada. It is not Energy Star rated, so if a rebate program specifically requires Energy Star, this fixture will not qualify on that basis.
7) What finishes does the Corso PD-33732 come in for matching other fixtures in a build?
Three finishes: brushed aluminum (PD-33732-AL), black (PD-33732-BK) and white (PD-33732-WT). All three are the same 3000K, 6340 lumen fixture, so you can mix finishes across rooms and keep the light identical. The body is solid spun aluminum.
8) How much space does the 31.5 inch Corso pendant take up, and how thick is the ring?
The ring is 31.5 inches across and only 4.06 inches deep, so it reads as a thin floating halo rather than a bulky drum. Allow the full 31.5 inch diameter of clearance when spacing it off walls or from a second pendant in a row. The canopy at the ceiling is 7.88 inches.
9) Can I get the Corso pendant in 2700K or 3500K instead of 3000K?
As a stocked item the Corso PD-33732 is 3000K only, in all three finishes. WAC notes that custom CCT options are handled by special order, so a non-3000K version is not an off-the-shelf variant of this part number.
