WAC Lighting Accent Stem LED 1-Light 12V Path and Area Light 6111-27

Accent Stem LED 12V Path and Area Single Light 2700K

Simple, clean and efficient. The Tiki Path Light provides a wide sweep of light in a minimalist design that will blend into any landscape. Both the dome-shaped shade and stem are made out of a durable die-cast aluminum. This path light is powered by bright long lasting integrated LED's and can conveniently tap into any existing 12V landscape lighting system. Factory sealed and water tight with an IP66 rating for protection against high-pressure water jets and outdoor elements. Casted using a special k-alloy aluminum that is engineered to withstand the most challenging environments over time. Solid brass coated in bronze (-BBR finish) may be available for enhanced protection against corrosive elements and is recommended for use in coastal or marine environments. Includes a 9in mounting spike (Guardian Spike sku # 9000-SP9-BZ sold separately for more durable mounting) and a 3ft lead wire with two gel filled direct burial wire nuts. A magnetic or electronic power supply is required (sold separately) for 12V fixtures. A variety of accessories are sold separately for additional mounting options.

WAC Lighting WAC-6111-27 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Can the WAC Lighting 6111 Tiki path light run off my existing 12V landscape lighting system?
Yes. The 6111 path light taps into an existing 12V low-voltage landscape run, with an input range of 9-15V AC, 50/60Hz. It does not come with power: a magnetic or electronic transformer is required and sold separately. If you are adding it to an existing run, size the transformer for the added load and keep the fixture inside that 9-15V window at the far end of the run.
2) Is the WAC 6111 Tiki path light rated for direct exposure to sprinklers and rain?
It is factory sealed and water tight with an IP66 rating, which covers high-pressure water jets as well as rain, and it is UL and cUL 1838 listed for wet locations. Sprinkler spray and storm exposure are within what it is built for.
3) Can I put the WAC 6111 path light on a wall-mount dimmer?
Treat it as non-dimmable unless you are using a magnetic low voltage (MLV) dimmer upstream of a magnetic transformer. The 6111 has no onboard dimming driver and is not intended for use with standard external dimmers. An ELV or TRIAC wall dimmer on this fixture will flicker or fail to dim.
4) What color temperature is the WAC 6111-27 path light, and will it match my existing landscape fixtures?
The 6111-27 is 2700K, the warm white typically used with incandescent-era landscape lighting and warm architectural facades. Both finishes, 6111-27BBR and 6111-27BZ, are 2700K. If the rest of your site is on a cooler 3000K, specify the matching 3000K version of the 6111 instead rather than mixing the two on the same path.
5) Does the WAC 6111 Tiki path light come with a stake, or do I need to buy a mount?
A mounting spike and lead wire with two gel-filled direct burial wire nuts come in the box, so a standard bed or turf-edge install needs nothing extra beyond the transformer and cable. For heavier-duty mounting, WAC offers the Guardian Spike, 9000-SP9-BZ, sold separately, along with other mounting and glare control accessories.
6) Will voltage drop at the end of a long 12V landscape run dim the WAC 6111?
Not within its operating window. The fixture maintains constant lumen output against voltage drop and accepts 9-15V AC, so output holds steady as long as the voltage at the fixture stays in that band. Beyond that you need to re-tap the transformer or go to heavier gauge cable.
7) How does the Tiki 6111 distribute light compared with a typical hat-style path light?
The dome shade throws a wide, low sweep of light across walkway and bed surfaces rather than a tight pool, so it suits spacing along a long path or driveway edge where you want continuous coverage with a minimal visible fixture. It is a path and area light, not an accent or uplight, so for grazing a wall or hitting a specimen tree you want a directional spot or flood instead.
8) Can the LED in the WAC 6111 be replaced when it fails?
No. The 6111 uses an integrated LED in a factory sealed, water tight housing, rated at 60,000 hours. There is no lamp to change, so at end of life the fixture itself is replaced. For a facility standardizing on one path light, that favors sticking to a single MPN across the site.
