The Charge H-8010-30 is an H track fixture, so it mounts to standard H-system single-circuit track running 120V. Check the track you already have overhead: if the adapter on your current heads is an H pattern, these drop straight onto the same run. J or L pattern track is a different system and these will not seat in it.

The Charge head dims on ELV and TRIAC (forward and reverse phase) controls, down to 5 percent. A standard incandescent TRIAC dimmer already on the circuit will work. What matters more on a track run is the load: each head draws 11W, so a dozen of them is around 132W, well under the minimum load trouble zone on most LED-rated dimmers but worth confirming the dimmer is LED-rated rather than an old magnetic low voltage unit, which is the one type this will not run on.

Yes on both counts that get checked: the Charge head is Title 24 compliant and CEC listed, so it can be used as a compliant luminaire on California work. It is also Energy Star rated. For the inspector, the safety listing is ETL and cETL.

No. The Charge head is rated for dry locations indoors only, so a covered exterior walkway, a parking garage, or a shower area is out of scope for it. Look for a wet or damp rated head for those spots. Dry rating covers ordinary conditioned interior space: retail floors, lobbies, offices, residential.

Nothing to buy. The Charge head is an integrated LED module with the driver concealed inside the fixture body, so there is no lamp socket and no separate driver to mount on the track. Rated life is 50,000 hours, which is why it is built as a sealed module rather than a relampable head.

Aiming range is 350 degrees horizontal and 90 degrees vertical, so the head rotates almost a full circle on the adapter and tilts from straight down to horizontal. Pointing back over the track at a wall behind the run is within that range. The 10 degree gap in the horizontal sweep is the stem, so plan the adapter orientation if you have a fixed target directly behind it.

3000K with a CRI of 90. That is warm white, the same nominal temperature as most commercial downlight jobs specified at 3000K, and the 90 CRI puts it above the 80 CRI of common general-purpose LED cans. Matched against an 80 CRI fixture on the same ceiling the Charge head will read cleaner on skin tones and merchandise, which is usually the point of putting it there.

Four finishes: black, white, brushed nickel, and dark bronze. Every one of those is available as a single head or in 2, 6, and 12 packs, so standardizing a floor or a whole property on one finish is straightforward. A property manager restocking a retail run typically orders the 12 pack in the finish already on the ceiling, black (H-8010-30-BK-12) or white (H-8010-30-WT-12) being the usual two.
