The WAC Lighting FM-2522 Dew Flush Mount brings a graceful, dewdrop-inspired dome to any ceiling with a soft, sweeping acrylic lens and a generous 18" profile built for high-ceiling rooms. This LED flush mount is powered by a 45W high-output LED module delivering 3,050 lumens at CRI 90, with a 5-CCT selectable switch that toggles between 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K to match any space. Rated IP44 for Dry, Damp, and Wet locations, it is equally suited to interior rooms and covered exterior areas.

Key Features

  • 18" Domed Silhouette: A generously scaled 18" size is ideal for illuminating rooms with high ceilings.
  • Durable Construction: High-powered LED modules line a steel maintenance plate, diffused by a soft white acrylic lens for even 360-degree illumination; the diffuser removes for access to the CCT switch and cleaning.
  • Simple Flush Installation: Mounts to a standard, slim, or pancake junction box with all mounting hardware included, and the LED driver is concealed within the fixture for a true flush ceiling installation.
  • 45W LED Output: Operates at 120V, delivering 3,050 lumens with a CRI of 90 and a 50,000-hour rated lifespan.
  • 5-CCT Selectable Switch: A rear-mounted switch lets installers choose between 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K color temperatures.
  • ELV/TRIAC Dimming: Smooth, continuous dimming down to 10% with electronic low voltage (ELV) or standard TRIAC dimmers.

WAC Lighting FM-252218-CS-BK – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Can the WAC Dew FM-2522 flush mount be installed on a covered porch or patio?
The Dew FM-2522 carries an IP44 rating, which covers it for splashing water from any direction, so a covered porch, patio ceiling, or similar protected exterior soffit is within its rating. It is hardwired at 120V, so it needs a junction box in the ceiling rather than a cord connection.
2) What junction box do I need for the WAC Lighting FM-2522 Dew flush mount?
It mounts to a standard, slim, or pancake junction box, and all the mounting hardware comes in the box. The LED driver is housed inside the fixture rather than above the ceiling, so the dome sits tight to the drywall with no remote driver to find a home for. That makes it workable in both new construction and a retrofit onto an existing box.
3) Do I have to order separate fixtures for different color temperatures?
No. One fixture covers 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K through a selectable switch on the back of the housing. For a property manager standardizing a building, that means a single SKU on the truck and the crew sets the temperature per space at install. The acrylic diffuser pulls off to reach the switch, so the setting can be changed later without taking the fixture down.
4) What dimmer works with the WAC Dew FM-2522 LED flush mount?
Use an ELV (electronic low voltage) or standard TRIAC forward-phase dimmer. It dims smoothly to 10 percent on either. There is no 0-10V input on this fixture, so if the room is wired for 0-10V control you are specifying the wrong fixture for that circuit.
5) Does the WAC FM-2522 Dew meet California Title 24 and ADA requirements?
Both. The Dew FM-2522 is CEC Title 24 JA8-2016 compliant, which is what California residential work requires for high-efficacy luminaires, and it is ADA compliant. It is also ETL and cETL listed, CSA listed, and listed to UL 1598. It is not Energy Star rated.
6) Is an 18 inch flush mount too big for a standard 8 foot ceiling room?
The 18 inch Dew is scaled for rooms with high ceilings, where a smaller dome reads lost and under-lights the floor. At 45W of LED output with a flood distribution, it is meant to light a whole room from one center point. In a small bath, closet, or low hall, a smaller diameter flush mount is the better call.
7) Can the lamp be replaced in the WAC Dew flush mount, or is the whole fixture disposable when it fails?
There is no socket and no replaceable bulb. Light comes from a single integrated ACLED module mounted on a steel maintenance plate inside the fixture, rated 50,000 hours. For an MRO buyer that means no relamping line item over the life of the fixture, but also no field lamp swap. The acrylic diffuser does come off for cleaning.
8) Can the WAC Dew FM-2522 be mounted on a wall instead of a ceiling?
Yes, it is rated for ceiling or wall mounting in any orientation, so it can run as a wall sconce over a vanity or in a corridor. Light distribution is flood and the diffuser throws 360 degrees around the dome, so wall mounted it washes the surface above and below rather than aiming light.
9) What finishes does the WAC Dew FM-2522 come in, and what is the dome made of?
Three finishes: black, bronze, and white. The housing is aluminum with a white acrylic diffuser, so the finish shows on the trim ring and body while the lit dome reads white in every version. Black and bronze both work where the ceiling is dark or the fixture is meant to register as a detail; white disappears into a standard painted ceiling.
