1) Will the WAC Lighting HT-160 Range track head fit my existing track, or do I need a specific system?
The HT-160 Range head is a J track fixture, so it mounts to J-type (Juno-compatible) track only. It will not seat in H-type or L-type track without the matching adapter system. Line voltage into the head is 120V, with the low voltage transformer built into the head itself.
2) What bulb does the WAC HT-160 low voltage track head take, and is one included?
It takes an MR16 lamp with a GY5.3 bi-pin base, up to 75W. Bulbs are not included, so order lamps separately. A clear glass lens sits in front of the lamp.
3) Can I put the WAC HT-160 track head on a dimmer?
Yes, but it needs an ELV (electronic low voltage) dimmer. Standard incandescent or forward-phase dimmers are the wrong control for this head and can cause flicker or buzz. Match the dimmer to the total connected load on the circuit.
4) Is this WAC track head rated for a covered patio or a bathroom?
No. The HT-160 Range head is an indoor, dry location fixture only. Keep it out of covered exterior soffits, shower areas, and anywhere subject to moisture or condensation, and specify a damp or wet rated head for those spots instead.
5) Does the WAC HT-160 Range head meet California Title 24 for a commercial lighting job?
Yes, the head is Title 24 compliant and CEC listed, which is what a California plan check will look for on a nonresidential or multi-family lighting submittal. It is also UL and cUL certified for US and Canadian installs, and listed ADA compliant. It is not Energy Star rated.

Two: black and white. White blends into a painted gypsum ceiling and black disappears against dark or exposed structure, which is the usual decision on retail and gallery jobs. For a run of heads on one track, order all of them in the same finish since the two are not sold as a matched pair.
