1) Will the WAC Range HHT-160 track head fit my existing H-track?
The Range HHT-160 is an H track fixture, so it mounts on H-type (single-circuit) track. It is not an L or J series fitting, so if your run is L or J track it will not seat.
2) What bulb do I need to order with the HHT-160 head?
No lamp ships with it. You supply an MR16 with a GY5.3 bi-pin base, up to 50W. That is the standard low voltage MR16 pin base, so most MR16 LED retrofit lamps in GY5.3 will drop in.
3) Do I need a separate low voltage transformer for this WAC track head?
No. The Range head runs off 120V track, with the low voltage conversion handled at the fixture, so it goes straight onto a standard 120V H-track run with no remote transformer.
4) Can I dim these track heads, and what kind of dimmer do I need?
Dimming is ELV (electronic low voltage), so pair it with an ELV-rated dimmer. A standard incandescent or MLV dimmer is the wrong control type here and can cause flicker or drop-out.
5) Can I use this track head in a covered exterior walkway or a bathroom with a shower?
No. The Range HHT-160 is rated for indoor, dry locations only. Damp areas like an enclosed shower, a covered patio, or a kitchen hood zone need a damp or wet rated fixture instead.
6) Is the HHT-160 head approved for California Title 24 jobs?
Yes, the Range head is listed as Title 24 compliant and CEC listed, and it carries UL and cUL certification for use in the US and Canada.
7) How much does the HHT-160 head project off the track and how much space does it need?
Plan on 4.5 inches of height and width, 2.5 inches of length, with a 2.13 inch head diameter and a maximum height of 4.06 inches. In a tight soffit or a low-clearance retail valance, check that clearance before you order a run of them.

The Range head is listed as ADA compliant. Since it is a ceiling-mounted track head rather than a wall fixture, protrusion into the path of travel is generally not the issue it would be on a sconce.
