1) Will the WAC HHT-809 track head fit my existing track, or do I need a specific track type?
The HHT-809 is an H-track fixture, so it mounts to H-system track only. It will not seat in J or L system track. Operating voltage at the track is 120V, and the head steps that down for the low voltage MR16 lamp.
2) What bulb do I need to order with the WAC HHT-809 low voltage track head?
No lamp ships with the HHT-809, so order lamps separately. It takes an MR16 with a GY5.3 bi-pin base, up to 50W maximum. Going over 50W is not supported by the fixture.
3) Can the HHT-809 track head be dimmed, and what kind of dimmer does it need?
Dimming on the HHT-809 is ELV (electronic low voltage). Pair it with an ELV-rated dimmer; a standard incandescent or MLV dimmer is the wrong control type for this head.
4) Is the WAC HHT-809 head approved for a covered exterior walkway or a bathroom with a shower?
No. The HHT-809 is rated for indoor, dry locations only. Keep it out of damp or wet areas such as covered exteriors, enclosed showers, or unconditioned spaces where condensation forms.
5) Does the WAC HHT-809 meet California Title 24 for a commercial tenant improvement?
Yes. The HHT-809 is listed as Title 24 compliant and CEC listed, and it is ADA compliant. It is UL and cUL certified, so it clears Canadian jobs as well. It does not carry Energy Star.
