1) Can the WAC HHT-180 track head be dimmed?
It is dimmable on ELV (electronic low voltage) controls. Pair it with an ELV dimmer, not a standard incandescent/TRIAC-only unit, or the head may flicker or drop out at the low end.
2) Does the WAC HHT-180 low voltage track head come with a bulb?
No lamp is included. You order the MR16 lamp separately, and it needs a GY5.3 bi-pin base rated up to 50W.
3) Is the HHT-180 a low voltage head, and do I need a separate transformer on the track?
It is a low voltage MR16 head that runs off a 120V track circuit, meaning the transformer is built into the head. You do not need a separate low voltage track feed or remote transformer.
4) Can I use the HHT-180 track head in a covered exterior walkway or a bathroom with a shower?
No. It is rated for indoor, dry locations only, so keep it out of covered exteriors, wet or damp baths, and unconditioned spaces. A damp or wet location rated head is required there.
5) Does the WAC HHT-180 meet California Title 24 and carry a UL listing for a commercial job?
It is CEC listed and Title 24 compliant, carries UL and cUL listings, and is noted as ADA compliant. That covers the usual submittal questions on California work and on facility specs calling for a UL listed track head.
