1) Can the WAC JCLIP track clip be used outdoors or in a covered damp area?
No. The JCLIP carries a Dry location rating and is listed for interior use only, so keep it out of exterior runs, covered patios, bathrooms over tubs, and any other damp or wet location. For those openings you need a track system rated for damp or wet locations.
2) What is the WAC Lighting JCLIP conversion clip used for on J 2-Circuit track?
The JCLIP is a small plastic accessory for WAC Lighting's J 2-Circuit Track system. It is a track component, not a lamp holder or a complete track system on its own, so it is ordered alongside the track, connectors and fixtures that make up the run. It is rated for 120 volts, the same as the rest of the J 2-Circuit line.
3) Is the WAC Lighting JCLIP UL listed for commercial jobs?
Yes, the JCLIP clip is UL and cUL listed, which covers it for use in both US and Canadian installations. It is a hardwired component on a 120 volt circuit, so it goes in as part of a permanently wired track run rather than a plug-in setup.
4) Can the WAC JCLIP be mounted either way around in the track?
No. The clip is not reversible mounting, so it installs in one orientation only. Note the orientation of the existing piece before you pull it if you are swapping one out on a live run.
