1) Will the WAC Lighting L-ENDCAP fit any track, or only WAC L Track?
It is made for the WAC Lighting L Track system only. The end cap is part of the L Track collection, and L Track uses its own extrusion profile, so it will not seat in H or J track or in another manufacturer's channel. Match the track family before ordering.
2) Can a WAC L Track end cap be used outdoors or in a covered exterior soffit?
No. It is rated for dry locations and designated interior use, so keep it to indoor track runs. A damp or wet exterior soffit, a canopy, or a bathroom over the tub needs a component rated for that location.
3) Do I get a complete track system when I order the L Track end cap, or just the cap?
Just the cap. It is not a complete system, so the track sections, the power feed or canopy connector, mounting clips, and the heads all have to be ordered separately. Count one end cap for each open end of a run that is not terminated by a feed or a connector.
4) What finishes does the WAC L Track end cap come in, and can I match my existing track?
Three finishes: Black (L-ENDCAP-BK), Brushed Nickel (L-ENDCAP-BN), and White (L-ENDCAP-WT). For a fleet of units or a tenant build-out, order the cap in the same finish as the track run so the terminated end disappears rather than reading as a different part.
5) How much space does the WAC L Track end cap add to the end of a track run?
Very little. The cap measures 1.38 inches in height and 0.66 inches in both width and length, so plan on roughly two thirds of an inch of added length past the last piece of track when you are laying out a run to a wall.
6) Is the WAC L Track end cap UL listed for a commercial job?
Yes, it carries UL and cUL safety listings, which covers specification work in both the US and Canada. It is a hardwired-system component for 120V L Track. Note that it is not Energy Star or Title 24 compliant, and it is not ADA rated, since it is a track terminator rather than a luminaire.
7) Is the WAC L Track end cap metal or plastic?
The body is plastic, finished in black, brushed nickel, or white. It is a non-current-carrying terminator that closes off the exposed end of the track channel, not a structural or load-bearing piece, so plastic is normal for this part.
