1) What does the WAC Lighting LBXLE live end BX connector actually do on an L Track run?
It is the power feed end cap for a WAC L Track system. The live end brings line power into the track at the end of the run, with a BX (armored cable) connection for hardwired supply. It is a hardwired component, not a plug-in cord set, so it has to be tied into a junction box by an electrician.
2) Will the LBXLE connector work on 277V track?
No. The LBXLE live end is a 120V component. For a 277V circuit in a commercial space you need a track system and feed rated for that voltage, so do not put this one on a 277V branch.
3) Can this WAC live end connector be used on a Halo, Juno or Lightolier track?
It is built for WAC Lighting's L Track, which is WAC's own single-circuit profile. Track systems from other manufacturers use different contact geometry, so match this connector to L Track components rather than trying to adapt it to another brand's extrusion.
4) Is the LBXLE rated for a covered porch or a bathroom with a shower?
No. This connector carries a dry location rating and is listed for interior use only. Damp or wet areas, including covered exteriors and shower zones, call for a differently rated system. Safety listings are UL and cUL.
5) How much space does the live end connector add past the end of the track?
Plan on a 6 inch length, 1.39 inches wide and 1.25 inches high, and the same for the backplate that covers the feed. That 6 inches is added to your track run, so subtract it when you lay out a run against a wall or into a corner.
6) What finishes does the WAC L Track live end BX connector come in, and can I match my existing track?
Three finishes: black, brushed nickel and white, ordered as LBXLE-BK, LBXLE-BN and LBXLE-WT. Match the code to the finish of the L Track sections and heads already on the ceiling so the feed end does not stand out.
7) Does ordering the LBXLE get me everything I need for a track run?
No. It is a single component, not a complete system. You still need the L Track sections, any joiners or end caps for the far end, the track heads themselves, and the mounting hardware for the ceiling or wall.
