1) Will the WAC Lighting Exterminator II LED1014 head fit my existing track, or do I need L track specifically?
The LED1014 Exterminator II is built as an L track fixture, so it mounts to L track only. It won't seat in H or J track without the correct track adapter for that system. If the track in your ceiling is H or J profile, order the matching version of the head rather than trying to adapt this one.
2) Can I use the WAC Exterminator II LED1014 track head outdoors or on a covered patio?
No. The Exterminator II LED1014 carries a dry location rating and is an interior fixture. Covered porches, garages with open bays, and anything exposed to moisture need a damp or wet location rated head instead. Keep this one to conditioned retail, gallery, and residential interiors.
3) What do I have to specify when ordering the WAC LED1014 Exterminator II track head?
Four choices decide the part. Beam spread is either 25 degrees or 55 degrees. CRI is 85 or 90. Color temperature is 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, or 4000K. Finish is Black, Brushed Nickel, or White. Settle all four before you order, since a 25 degree 3000K head and a 55 degree 2700K head look nothing alike on the same wall.
4) Is the WAC Exterminator II LED1014 dimmable, and does it meet Energy Star?
It's dimmable and Energy Star qualified. Safety listings are ETL and cETL, so it's accepted in both US and Canadian jurisdictions. One thing to flag for spec work: it is not Title 24 compliant and it is not ADA compliant, so it won't satisfy a California residential lighting mandate on its own.
5) Does ordering the LED1014 track head get me everything I need, or do I still need track?
The head alone. It is not a complete system, so the L track sections, connectors, end feed or canopy, and any track power supply are separate line items.
