1) Will the WAC Exterminator II LED1023 track head fit L-track?
Yes. The LED1023 Exterminator II head is built as an L track fixture, so it mounts to L-series track only. If the runs in your space are H-track or J-track, this head won't seat in them and you'll need the matching track-type version instead. It runs on 120V line-voltage track.
2) How much light does the 22W Exterminator II LED track head put out compared to a halogen head?
1690 lumens from 22 watts, with an integrated LED module. That output lands in the range a 75W halogen PAR head would deliver, at roughly a third of the draw, which is why it gets specified on retail and gallery retrofits where the circuit is already loaded. Total fixture wattage is 22W with a single light source.
3) Do I have to specify beam angle and color temperature when I order this track head?
Yes, both, plus CRI and finish. Beam spread is either 18 degrees or 30 degrees, color temperature is 2700K, 3000K, 3500K or 4000K, CRI is 85 or 90, and finish is Black, Brushed Nickel or White. Use 18 degrees for accenting artwork or merchandise from a high ceiling and 30 degrees for general wall wash or wider display coverage. Pick one value on each axis or the order can't be built.
4) Can I use the Exterminator II LED track head outdoors or on a covered patio?
No. It carries a Dry location rating and is listed for interior use, so it can't go outside, on a covered exterior walkway, or in a bathroom or commercial kitchen where it will see moisture. Safety listings are ETL and cETL. For a damp or wet area you need a fixture rated for that location.
5) Does this WAC track head meet California Title 24 and Energy Star for a commercial job?
Both. The LED1023 Exterminator II is Title 24 compliant and Energy Star qualified, which is what a California tenant improvement or a utility rebate submittal usually wants to see on a track head. It is not ADA compliant, so keep it off protruding-object walls where that applies.
6) Is track included with this Exterminator II head, or do I order it separately?
The head only. It is not sold as a complete system, so the L track sections, connectors, feed and end caps are separate line items. The LED module itself is included in the head and is not a lamp you buy on top. Budget the track run and power feed into the order before it goes out.
7) What dimmer works with the LED1023 track head?
It is a dimmable head running on 120V line voltage track, so it dims from the branch circuit dimmer feeding the track rather than from the head itself. Use a dimmer rated for LED loads and size it against the total connected wattage on the run: at 22W per head, a 300W LED-rated dimmer covers a long run of these.
8) How much room does this track head need below the ceiling?
