1) Will the WAC Silo X10 track head fit my existing track, or do I need WAC L track?
The Silo X10 LED2010 head is built as an L track fixture, so it mounts to L-series track only. It will not drop onto a J-track or H-track run without the correct track connector for that system. If your ceiling run is an existing L track circuit, this head clips straight in.
2) How much light does a 10W Silo X10 track head actually put out, and is it enough for retail or gallery accenting?
Each head draws 10 watts and delivers 1053 lumens at 3000K with a CRI of 90. That color rendering is what matters for merchandise, artwork and finishes, and 3000K is the warm-white most retail and residential spaces standardize on. One head is an accent, not general ambient light, so space heads along the run based on how many display points you need lit.
3) What beam angle does the Silo X10 head throw, and will it wash a wall or spot a display?
Beam spread runs 25 to 35 degrees, which is a narrow flood. That is the range for picking out a piece of art, a product display, or a counter, not for evenly washing a full wall. For a continuous wall wash you would want a wider optic or heads set closer together and further off the wall.
4) Do I need to buy a separate LED lamp or driver for the WAC LED2010 Silo head?
No separate lamp is needed. The Silo X10 uses an integrated LED module behind an acrylic diffuser, and the light source ships with the head. It runs on 120V. Keep in mind the head alone is not a complete system, so the track, feed, end caps and canopy are ordered separately.
5) Can the WAC Silo X10 track head be used in a bathroom, covered porch, or unheated warehouse?
No. The Silo X10 is rated for dry interior locations only. A shower area, a covered exterior soffit, or anywhere subject to condensation needs a damp- or wet-listed fixture instead. Conditioned interior retail, office, gallery and residential spaces are where this head belongs.
6) Does the WAC LED2010 Silo head meet California Title 24, and is it Energy Star?
Both. The Silo X10 is Title 24 compliant and Energy Star qualified, which is what a California job or a utility rebate submittal will ask for. It also carries ETL and cETL safety listings for US and Canadian installs. It is not ADA compliant, so do not spec it where a protruding-object clearance applies.
7) Can I dim the Silo X10 track heads, and will they work on my existing dimmer?
The Silo X10 head is dimmable.
