WAC Lighting LTK-765-BK – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Will the WAC Lighting LTK-765 track head fit my existing track, and does it need a transformer?
The LTK-765 is an L track fixture, so it mounts to WAC L-series track, and it runs on 120V line voltage. No transformer or remote driver is involved. If the track in your ceiling is a J or H profile, this head will not seat in it.
2) What bulb does the WAC LTK-765 track head take, and does it come with one?
It takes a single PAR38 lamp, either incandescent or LED, rated to a maximum of 50 watts. The lamp is not included, so order bulbs separately. For a retail or gallery install where you are running a dozen heads, that is a dozen PAR38 lamps on the same order.
3) Can I put the LTK-765 track head in a covered porch or a bathroom?
No. The LTK-765 is rated for dry interior locations only. A covered exterior soffit, a shower area, or an unconditioned space with condensation needs a damp or wet rated fixture instead.
4) How much clearance do I need below the ceiling for a WAC LTK-765 track head?
Allow about 10 inches of drop height and a 6 inch diameter body, with an overall length of 6.68 inches. In a space with low ceilings or heavy merchandising below the track, that 10 inch projection is the number to check first.
5) Does the WAC LTK-765 track head carry UL listing for a commercial job?
It is UL and cUL listed, which covers both US and Canadian installs, and it is CEC listed. Note that it is not Energy Star rated and not Title 24 compliant, so if your project is a California new-construction job with Title 24 lighting requirements, this head will not satisfy that line item.
6) Can the LTK-765 head be aimed up as well as down for wall washing?
Yes, it has reversible mounting, so the head can be oriented to throw light up or down off the track. That makes it workable for uplighting a coffered ceiling or aiming a PAR38 flood across an artwork wall from the same track run.
7) What finishes does the WAC LTK-765 line voltage track head come in?
Three: black (LTK-765-BK), brushed nickel (LTK-765-BN), and white (LTK-765-WT). White and black are the usual choices for blending into or disappearing against a painted ceiling; brushed nickel matches metal trim packages. All three are the same fixture with an aluminum body.
