1) Will the WAC LTK-704 track head fit my existing track, or does it only work on one system?
The LTK-704 is an L-Track fixture, so it mounts to WAC L-series track only. It will not seat in J-track or H-track runs. Check the track profile you already have overhead before ordering; if the building uses a J or H system you need a head built for that profile instead.
2) What bulb does the WAC LTK-704 track head take, and does it come with one?
It takes a single PAR30 lamp, and no lamp is included, so budget one per head. Either incandescent or LED PAR30 works. Keep the lamp at or below 100W, which is the rated maximum for the fixture.
3) Is the LTK-704 line voltage or does it need a transformer?
Line voltage, 120V, direct off the track. No transformer or driver is needed at the head, which is what separates it from the low voltage heads in the same family.
4) Can I use the WAC LTK-704 track head on a covered patio or in a bathroom with a shower?
No. It is dry location rated and interior only, so covered exterior porches, garages open to weather, and shower or tub zones are out. For those spots you need a damp or wet rated fixture.
5) How much clearance do I need below the track for this WAC head?
Allow for a fixture roughly 9.7 inches at its tallest, 7.21 inches long, and 4.45 inches in diameter. In a retail or gallery aisle with low ceilings that drop matters, and it also sets how close you can space heads on the run before shades start clashing when aimed.
6) Can the LTK-704 be dimmed on my existing wall dimmer?
The fixture itself is dimmable, so dimming behavior comes down to the lamp you put in it. With an incandescent PAR30 a standard forward phase dimmer is fine; with an LED PAR30 match the dimmer to that lamp's listed compatibility, since the head passes line voltage straight through.
7) What finishes does the WAC LTK-704 come in for matching existing heads?
Two: black (LTK-704-BK) and white (LTK-704-WT). If you are adding heads to an existing run, match the finish of the track itself rather than the older heads, since track and head are ordered separately.
