The Pin Up PD-571 uses a universal input driver rated 120V, 240V and 277V, so the same fixture works on a residential 120V circuit or a 277V commercial lighting branch. The driver sits concealed in the canopy, so there is no remote driver to find a location for.
2) Do I have to pick a color temperature when I order the Pin Up pendant, or can it be changed after install?
Both. The PD-571 has built-in 4-CCT selection covering 2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K, and it ships pre-selected to the CCT you order. The setting can also be changed in the field, so a run of pendants installed at 3000K can be shifted to 3500K later without replacing fixtures.
3) Will the PD-571 pendant mount on a sloped ceiling, and how is the hanging height set?
Yes. The Pin Up is a ceiling-mounted hardwired pendant that is sloped-ceiling compatible, and hang height is adjusted with push-pin connectors on the electrified cable, so the cable is shortened at install rather than ordered to length.
4) What dimmer works with the WAC Pin Up LED pendant? My existing wall dimmers are standard incandescent type.
The PD-571 dims continuously on electronic low voltage (ELV) or TRIAC dimmers. A standard incandescent/forward-phase TRIAC dimmer will work; a 0-10V or DALI control will not, since the driver does not accept those. Swap any 0-10V stations for ELV or TRIAC before energizing.
5) Can I use the Pin Up pendant in a covered patio or a bathroom?
The Pin Up is ETL and cETL Listed for damp locations, which covers a bathroom, a covered porch or a covered exterior walkway where the fixture is not hit by direct rain. It is not wet-location rated, so do not use it on an open soffit or anywhere exposed to driving water.
6) If the LED burns out in the WAC Pin Up pendant, do I have to replace the whole fixture?
No. The Pin Up carries a replaceable high-powered LED module rather than a sealed board, and the module is rated 50,000 hours. The LED comes with the fixture, so there is no lamp to buy separately at install.
