1) Does the WAC HR-D425 recessed trim come with the MR16 lamp?
No lamp is included. The HR-D425 is a 4 inch adjustable round trim only, and the LED MR16 lamp is ordered separately. Budget for the lamp plus a compatible 12 volt low voltage housing on every opening you spec.
2) Will the WAC HR-D425 trim work on a 120V line voltage recessed can?
No. The HR-D425 takes a 12 VAC input, so it belongs in a low voltage housing with a transformer. Dropping it into a line voltage can is the wrong pairing. If the ceiling you are retrofitting has 120V cans, you need a line voltage trim instead.
3) How far can the HR-D425 spot be aimed for wall washing or artwork?
The center lamp holder tilts the lamp up to 80 degrees from vertical, which is enough to throw light at a wall, a piece of art, or a display case from a ceiling position. That is aiming from inside the trim, so the lamp moves and the trim ring stays flush to the ceiling.
4) How does the WAC HR-D425 trim attach to the housing, and do I need extra hardware?
Steel spring clips hold the trim into the housing. No screws, no separate mounting kit; you squeeze the clips, push the trim up into the can, and it seats itself. That also means it pulls back down for relamping without tools, which matters if you are maintaining a few hundred of them across a property.
5) Can I change the lens on the WAC HR-D425 to soften or diffuse the beam?
Yes. The trim ships with a clear glass lens, and that lens can be swapped for one lens accessory, so you can change the beam character without changing the trim. One lens at a time, not stacked.
6) What finish does the WAC HR-D425 adjustable trim come in?
White, ordered as HR-D425-WT. It is the only finish offered on this trim, so if you are matching existing white ceilings across a building the SKU is consistent every time you reorder.
