1) Can the WAC FM-616-RFK retrofit kit be used in a covered exterior soffit or a bathroom?
Damp rated, so a covered porch, soffit, or a bathroom ceiling outside the shower spray is within its rating. It is ETL and cETL listed. It is not wet rated, so keep it out of direct rain and out of a shower or tub enclosure where water hits the fixture.
2) Will the WAC FM-616-RFK pass a California Title 24 lighting inspection?
It is listed as Title 24 compliant and CEC listed, which is what a California inspector checks for on residential and many commercial ceiling installs. It is not Energy Star qualified, so if a rebate program or a spec sheet calls specifically for Energy Star, this one will not satisfy that line item.
