WAC Lighting HTK-773-WT – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Will the WAC Radiant TK-773 track head fit my existing track, or do I need a specific system?
The TK-773 Radiant head is an H-track fixture, so it mounts to H-style (three-circuit H) line voltage track. It will not seat in J or L track without the correct adapter. It runs on 120V line voltage.
2) Can I use the WAC TK-773 track head in a bathroom, covered porch, or kitchen over a cooktop?
Indoor dry locations only. The Radiant TK-773 is rated dry, so it is not suitable for a damp or wet spot such as a shower area, a covered exterior porch, or directly above a range where steam collects. For those areas you need a damp or wet rated head.
3) Does the WAC Radiant TK-773 meet California Title 24 and ADA requirements for a commercial job?
It is CEC listed and Title 24 compliant, which matters on California projects, and it is listed as ADA compliant. Certification is UL and cUL. It is not Energy Star rated.
4) Can the TK-773 Radiant track head be dimmed?
Dimming is handled at the lamp, and the head is rated for ELV and TRIAC dimming. Pair it with a PAR20 lamp the dimmer manufacturer lists as compatible; a non-dimmable PAR20 will not dim no matter what control is on the wall.
5) How much does the TK-773 head hang down from the track, and how much clearance do I need between heads?
The Radiant head measures 6.13 inches in height, 4.88 inches in length, 3.13 inches wide, with a 3.21 inch diameter. Allow that 6.13 inch drop below the track run when planning clearance over cabinets, shelving, or artwork, and space heads far enough apart that the shades clear each other when aimed in opposite directions.
6) What finish does the TK-773 Radiant head come in, and what is the housing made of?
White is the finish offered, ordered as HTK-773-WT. The body is aluminum, which keeps the head light on the track and helps shed heat from the PAR20 lamp.
