1) Can I put this 2100 rim exit device on a wood door?
No, the 2100 Series is not rated for wood door application. It is intended for hollow metal and aluminum doors with a wide stile. Every Grade 1 rim device we carry in this class, including the Delaney 8000 and 9000 Series, is likewise metal door only.
2) Does the 2100 exit device come with outside trim or a lever?
No. It ships as an exit only device, meaning push from the inside with no outside operation. If you need key or lever access from the pull side, order Accentra/Yale exit device trim separately and match it to the cylinder you are using.
3) Is the 2100 for a wide stile or narrow stile door?
Wide stile. The 2100 mounts on wide stile metal doors; the push pad itself is a narrow style pad on the wide stile chassis. On a narrow stile aluminum storefront leaf there is not enough stile face to take it, so use a narrow stile rim device on those openings.
4) The opening needs a fire rated exit device on a 48 inch door - can the Accentra 2100 be used?
No. The Accentra 2100 Series 48 inch rim device is not fire rated, so it suits openings where egress hardware is required but a fire label is not. For a labeled 48 inch opening, the Delaney F9000 Series Grade 1 heavy duty rim device for a 48 inch door is fire rated and comes in a stainless steel finish. Both are Grade 1 rim devices, so the door prep concept is the same, but only the F9000 carries the fire rating for a labeled frame.
