Yes. The alloy steel socket head cap screw runs 180,000 psi minimum tensile and 162,000 psi minimum yield, above what equivalent-size Grade 5 or Grade 8 hex head cap screws deliver. Hardness is Rockwell C39. Because it's wrenched from inside the head, it also needs less surface area or counterbore clearance than an externally wrenched bolt.
