1) Will the Intermatic T103 switch a 240V circuit, or is it 120V only?
The T103 is a 120V device. Its clock motor runs on 120 VAC, 60 Hz, so it has to be fed from a 120V supply. The switching side is DPST, meaning it breaks two hot legs at once from that single 120V timer motor feed. If your load is a 240V circuit fed by two hots, the DPST contacts are what you want, but the timer motor still needs its own 120 VAC 60 Hz supply as rated. On a 50 Hz supply the mechanical clock will not keep correct time.
2) Can I mount an Intermatic T103 timer outdoors or in a wet location?
No. The T103 comes in an indoor metal enclosure, and that case is not built for weather. For a parking lot pole light, a sign, or anything else exposed, put the mechanism in an outdoor-rated Intermatic enclosure instead, or pick a T100 Series model supplied in a raintight case. Mounting the indoor case outside will rust it and let water into the contacts.
3) Does the Intermatic T103 run a different schedule on weekends?
No. This is a 24-hour timer, so it repeats the same on and off times every single day, weekends and holidays included. Property managers who need lights to run late Friday and Saturday but not Sunday should be looking at a 7-day astronomic or electronic time switch instead. The T103 is the right choice when the schedule is genuinely the same seven days a week.
4) How many times a day can the Intermatic T103 turn a load on and off?
Up to 12 ON/OFF operations in a 24-hour cycle, with the tripper pins set no closer than 1 hour apart. That is a mechanical limit of the dial: each pair of trippers is one on and one off, and the minimum interval between a trip point and the next is one hour. So a lobby light on at 6am and off at 10pm is easy, and a schedule that needs something cycling every 15 minutes is not what this is for.
5) Will an Intermatic T103 handle a motor load like a pump or a fan?
