1) Will the Intermatic T104 time switch work on a 277V lighting circuit?
Yes. The T104 is the 208-277 VAC, 60 Hz model in the T100 Series, so it lands directly on the 277V branch circuits used for commercial fluorescent and LED lighting, as well as 208V and 240V. If your load is on a 120V circuit, the T104 is the wrong model in the family, you need the 120V version instead.
2) Does the Intermatic T104 switch both hot legs of a 208V or 240V load?
It does. The T104 is DPST, double pole single throw, so both ungrounded conductors of a two-wire 208V, 240V or 277V load break together. That is what you want on a multi-wire commercial lighting circuit or a two-pole load where single-pole switching would leave one leg energized at the fixture.

No. The T104 is a mechanical time switch driven by a synchronous motor off the 208-277 VAC, 60 Hz supply, so the dial stops when power drops and restarts behind by the length of the outage. After any outage of consequence, reset the dial to the current time.
