Yes. The Metallics JFM123 is a 3/8-16 UNC screw cut to the ANSI/ASME B1.1 thread standard, 16 threads per inch, so it mates with any standard 3/8-16 coarse-thread nut, tapped strut insert, or tapped hole. It will not engage a 3/8-24 fine thread.
2) How big is the head on the Metallics JFM123 flat head screw, and will it sit flush?
Head width runs 0.67 to 0.717 inch with a head height of 0.2 to 0.23 inch. Being a flat countersunk head, it seats flush in an 82-degree countersink or a chamfered hole of that diameter. If your plate or box is only punched with a straight hole, the head will stand proud by up to about 0.23 inch.
