American Standard Spectra Touch 7-Inch 2.5 gpm/9.5 L/min Fixed Showerhead - AMS-9035374

Four patterns: Drench for a full-body soaking spray, Sensitive for a fine gentle spray, Jet for a targeted stream, and Massage for a pulsating spray. You switch between them by touching the shower head itself rather than twisting a collar or dial, which is easier with wet or soapy hands and handy in multi-family units where a stiff rotating selector tends to get broken.

It is a full-flow 2.5 gpm (9.5 L/min) head. That is the federal maximum for showerheads, so it will not satisfy jurisdictions or programs that require a reduced flow rate, such as California's stricter shower limit. If the job spec calls for a water-conserving head, specify a lower-flow model instead.

Yes, for a standard US shower arm. Wall-mount fixed showerheads in North America use a 1/2 inch NPT connection, so the Spectra Touch installs on the arm already in the wall with fresh thread tape, no wall opening and no valve work. It is a fixed head, so it mounts directly to the arm rather than to a slide bar or hose.

Legacy Bronze, ordered as American Standard part number 9035374.278. If the other trim in the bath is chrome or brushed nickel, this one will not match, so check the tub spout and valve trim before standardizing a building on it.

The face uses Easy Clean spray nozzles, which are flexible rubber tips you wipe with a thumb to break off mineral scale. For maintenance crews in hard water areas that means no soaking in vinegar and no disassembly on a routine service call.

The 7-inch face gives wide coverage in a standard tub or shower enclosure, and the touch pattern selector removes the small rotating collar that is usually the first thing to fail in high-turnover units. The tradeoff is the 2.5 gpm flow, which is fine where only the federal limit applies but too high for properties chasing water-use reduction targets.
