TOTO THU4016 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is TOTO part THU4016?
THU4016 is the replacement spout set for TOTO Mercer deck-mount faucets. It is a faucet spout assembly sold as a service part, so it covers the spout itself rather than the handles, valves, or trim.
2) Will the THU4016 spout fit any TOTO faucet, or only the Mercer?
It is built for the TOTO Mercer DB faucet and nothing else. TOTO service spouts are series specific, so a Mercer spout set will not interchange with other TOTO faucet lines. Match the faucet body you have to the Mercer before ordering.
3) Do I get the handles and valve cartridges with the THU4016 spout set?
No. THU4016 is the spout set only. Handles, cartridges, and escutcheon trim are separate TOTO service parts and have to be ordered on their own if those are also worn or damaged.
4) I manage apartments with TOTO Mercer lavatory faucets and the spouts are corroding. Can I just swap the spout instead of the whole faucet?
Yes, that is what the THU4016 set is for. On a Mercer deck-mount faucet the spout is a serviceable assembly, so a corroded or damaged spout can be replaced without pulling the valve bodies out of the deck. That keeps the existing deck holes and the rest of the faucet in place, which is the usual reason a property manager orders this instead of a complete new faucet.
5) How do I confirm the right finish when ordering the TOTO Mercer spout set?
The spout set is identified by its TOTO part number, THU4016. TOTO codes finish into the part number on service parts, so matching the exact number is how you match the finish on the faucet already installed. If the faucet on the fixture is a different finish, the service part number will be different as well.
