The IX-DVF-10KP is a flush mount, vandal resistant, and weather resistant IP Video Intercom, featuring a stainless-steel front cover and a combination proximity reader and access keypad. The IX-DVF-10KP is SIP compliant, ONVIF ® Profile S compliant, and is capable of streaming video feeds through ONVIF and RTSP. The IX-DVF is compatible with all IX | IXG series devices. The IX-DVF-10KP is capable of being surface mounted with the SBX-IXGDM7.

1) Can the Aiphone IX-DVF-10KP be surface mounted, or is it flush mount only?
The IX-DVF-10KP is built as a flush mount door station, but it can be surface mounted using the SBX-IXGDM7 surface mount box. If you are mounting to a masonry wall, a stone facade, or anywhere you cannot cut a back box into the wall, plan on the SBX-IXGDM7 as a separate line item.
2) Do I need a separate card reader and keypad at the door if I use the IX-DVF-10KP?
No. The access control hardware is built into the station: the IX-DVF-10KP carries a built-in AC-10K-1G keypad and proximity reader in the same faceplate as the video intercom. That is one opening, one back box, one cable run instead of an intercom plus a separate reader mounted beside it.
3) Will the Aiphone IX-DVF-10KP work with the IX stations we already have installed?
Yes. The IX-DVF door station is compatible with all IX and IXG series devices, so it drops into an existing IX system alongside your current master stations and door stations. It is also SIP compliant if you are running it against a SIP phone system rather than IX masters.
4) Can I pull the IX-DVF-10KP camera into my existing video management system?
Yes. The station is ONVIF Profile S compliant and streams video over ONVIF and RTSP, so a VMS that accepts an ONVIF Profile S or RTSP source can record the door camera as another channel. That matters on institutional jobs where security wants entry video in the same recorder as the rest of the site.
5) What kind of power and cabling does the Aiphone IX-DVF-10KP need at the door?
It runs on PoE, and it includes PoE pass-through, so a single Cat cable from a PoE switch handles both power and network and can feed a downstream device. No separate low-voltage power supply at the entrance.
6) Can the IX-DVF-10KP release the door lock and take inputs from other devices?
It has 2 contact outputs and 6 trigger inputs. The outputs are what you wire to a door strike or mag lock relay, and the six inputs give you room for a request-to-exit, a door position switch, or other field devices reporting back through the station.
7) Is this Aiphone door station suitable for an exterior entrance that takes abuse?
Yes. The IX-DVF-10KP is both weather resistant and vandal resistant, with a stainless steel faceplate, and it is a commercial-duty unit. That is the reason to pick it over a plastic-front residential intercom at a main lobby, garage, or gated entry.
8) Can I aim the camera on the IX-DVF-10KP if it mounts too high or too low?
The camera tilts manually to three positions: +15 degrees, 0 degrees, or -8 degrees. So if the station lands high on a wall you can angle it down, or tilt up where the box sits low. There is also a white LED for low-light illumination, so the entry stays usable after dark without adding a fixture.
9) Does the Aiphone IX-DVF-10KP record calls at the door, and do I have to supply anything?
It can capture and store the audio and video of active conversations on a microSD card. The card is not supplied with the station, so add one to your order if you want local recording of door calls.

Same flush mount, stainless steel, vandal and weather resistant IX Series door station, but the 10KP adds the built-in AC-10K-1G keypad and proximity reader to the faceplate. Choose the 10KP where residents or staff need to credential themselves in at that door; the plain video-only version is the one to use where every entry is granted from a master station inside.
