The LEF-10S is a selective calling open voice style master station with the capacity of up to 11 total stations. The system can be designed to meet a wide variety of needs, including any combination of master and sub stations up to its maximum capacity.

Incoming calls from a sub or door station sound an electronic mono-tone and light an LED, remaining lit for approximately 20 seconds. Communication at the calling master is press-to-talk, release-to-listen. Person at the receiving station speaks hands free. The person at the master station can selectively call and talk with a person at any other sub or master station in the system. An All Call announcement can be made from the master station, heard through all stations in the system. All Call requires additional equipment. The privacy feature on the master and selected subs prevents a master from hearing sounds from a station in the privacy mode.

1) How many stations can an Aiphone LEF-10S intercom system handle?
The LEF-10S master station supports up to 11 total stations in the system, which means the master plus up to 10 called stations. Those 10 can be any mix of LEF master stations and LE door stations, so a building with, say, four entry doors and six interior offices fits on one system without a second master.
2) Will the Aiphone LEF-10S work with my existing door stations?
The LEF-10S talks to Aiphone LEF series master stations and LE series door stations. If the entry units already on the building are LE door stations, the LEF-10S drops into that system. Anything outside the LEF/LE family is a different system and the data here does not cover it.
3) Can you release the door from the Aiphone LEF-10S master station?
Yes, and selectively. The LEF-10S has selective door release, so on a system with more than one LE door station the person at the master picks which door opens rather than triggering them all. Push-to-talk, simplex, at the master. The person at the LEF-10S presses to talk and releases to listen. Power consumption is 300mA at the master. Size the system supply to cover that plus whatever the sub and door stations on the run pull, since all of them sit on the same supply.
