The Appleton™ ATX™ JBEP Series is a line of increased safety, fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP) terminal junction boxes built for electrical and power applications in Zone 1 and 2 (gas) and Zone 21 and 22 (dust) hazardous locations. Factory drilled and equipped with pillar, miniature, or screw terminals for armored and un-armored cable, these enclosures are supplied with terminals ranging from 2.5 mm² (14AWG) through 240 mm² (474MCM) in multiple configurations, and carry an IP66 rating for demanding indoor/outdoor, wet, or corrosive environments.

• Increased Safety Rating: Designed for Zone 1 and 2 areas with flammable gases or vapors, and Zone 21 and 22 areas with flammable dusts, present continuously, often, or accidentally.

• Optional External Hinges: Available with hinged enclosures featuring a reversible door opening to 120°, plus double bar lock and/or key locking facility.

• Ambient Temperature Range: Rated from -55°C to +60°C (-67°F to +140°F).
