Appleton EFD/EFDB and EDS Series Explosionproof Control Station
The Appleton EFD/EFDB and EDS Series factory sealed control stations are explosionproof and dust-ignitionproof, confining device arcing within the enclosure to prevent ignition of surrounding atmospheres during motor and equipment control. Built with a malleable iron body and triple-coat finish, these control stations house push buttons, selector switches, and pilot lights for remote or local control of motors, contactors, and magnetic starters. Rated for Class I, Division 1 and 2, Groups B, C, D and Class II, Division 1 and 2, Groups E, F, G, plus Class III locations, with NEMA 3, 7CD, 9EFG enclosure ratings, they are engineered for classified areas where flammable vapors, gases, or combustible dusts are present, including chemical and petrochemical plants and refineries.
