Appleton U-Line Contender 20A 3-Pole Factory-Sealed Plugs & Receptacles

Appleton U-Line Contender Factory Sealed 20 Amp Plugs and Receptacles deliver a dead-front design engineered for electrical equipment in hazardous locations. Rated 125 Vac or 250 Vac at 20A with 3-pole, 2-wire configuration, each receptacle is not energized until the plug is fully inserted and the switch is engaged. A neoprene gasket in the throat of the receptacle seals against the plug or the spring-loaded cover to keep out water, dust, and corrosive compounds, while U-Line receptacles are specifically designed so they cannot be energized by an ordinary plug.

• Insulator Block Material: Glass-filled reinforced polyester provides superior dielectric and mechanical strength with the lowest arc tracking.
• Durable Construction: Mounting boxes are malleable iron with a triple-coat finish (zinc electroplate, chromate, epoxy powder coat); standard receptacle covers and optional aluminum mounting boxes are copper-free aluminum with epoxy powder coat.
• GFCI Option: Ground fault circuit interrupting cover and receptacle combinations are available.
• Mounting Flexibility: Mounting box entries support dead-end or feed-thru configurations, with plug cable diameter of .538–.639.
