The Appleton U-Line Contender Factory-Sealed 20 Amp Plug and Receptacle Set features a dead-front design that keeps the receptacle de-energized until the plug is fully inserted and the switch is engaged, making it ideal for electrical equipment in hazardous locations. A neoprene gasket in the throat of the receptacle seals against the plug or the spring-loaded cover to block out water, dust, and corrosive compounds. This 3-pole, 2-wire, 20A device is rated 125 Vac or 250 Vac and is built for demanding industrial and hazardous-area environments where reliable, code-compliant connections are critical.
