1) What hole spacing does the Cahaba CCLRM01 tub filler need on the tub deck?
The CCLRM01 is drilled for a 7 inch center faucet spread, so the hot and cold valve holes need to be 7 inches apart on the tub rim or deck. It's a deck mount (rim-mounted) filler, not a wall mount or freestanding floor-mount unit, so the tub or deck has to be pre-drilled for the two handles, the gooseneck spout, and the handshower cradle.
2) Will the Cahaba CCLRM01 tub filler meet a 2.5 GPM or 1.8 GPM flow restriction?
No on the spout. The CCLRM01 spout flows 3.7 GPM and the handshower flows 2.5 GPM. Tub fillers are commonly exempt from lavatory and shower flow limits because they fill rather than spray, but if your jurisdiction or project spec caps the fitting at 2.5 or 1.8 GPM, the 3.7 GPM spout will not comply as supplied.
3) What supply lines do I need to order with the Cahaba CCLRM01 tub filler?
Cahaba calls for 1/2 inch by 24 inch straight bath supply lines, model CCLSSLORB, in the matching oil rubbed bronze. They're a separate order. Mounting hardware for the faucet itself is included in the box, along with the 6 inch elbow mounts and the handshower cradle.
4) Can the Cahaba CCLRM01 be used on a freestanding clawfoot tub or does it have to sit on a deck?
It mounts on the tub rim or a deck, using 6 inch elbow mounts and a 7 inch spread. It is not a floor-mounted freestanding filler and it is not a wall mount. For a clawfoot tub it only works if the rim is drilled for rim-mounted fittings on 7 inch centers; otherwise you need a floor-mount or wall-mount filler instead.
5) How much clearance do I need above the tub rim for the Cahaba CCLRM01 gooseneck filler?
Allow at least 13 inches of height above the deck for the gooseneck spout. Overall the fitting measures 13 inches high, 9 inches wide, and 6-1/2 inches deep, so check your spout reach against the tub wall thickness and the window or wall behind the tub before you drill.
6) Is this Cahaba tub filler brass or is it plated zinc?
