1) What comes in the CDVI Atrium A22K1 kit, and do I need to buy readers separately?
The A22K1 kit ships complete for two openings: one A22K controller, two K1 mullion KRYPTO readers, and 25 TAG-EV2 DESFire credentials, with ATRIUM software included. Readers and starter credentials are in the box, so what you still supply per door is the lock hardware itself, power for the locks, and any request-to-exit or door position devices your job calls for.
2) How many doors will the CDVI A22K controller run?
Two. The A22K is a two-door controller with two relays, one per opening, which is why the kit pairs it with two K1 readers. For a third and fourth door you add another controller rather than expanding this one.
3) Will the K1 readers fit on an aluminum storefront mullion?
Yes, the K1 readers supplied in the A22K1 kit are mullion readers, so they are sized for the narrow face of an aluminum storefront frame or door stile rather than a wide single-gang wall plate. That is the reader form factor glass front and storefront installers usually need.
4) Is the CDVI A22K1 secure against card cloning, or is it another 125 kHz prox system?
This is a smart card system, not prox. The K1 KRYPTO readers and the included TAG-EV2 credentials run MIFARE DESFire EV2/EV3 with end-to-end encryption between credential, reader and controller, which is what stops the copy-at-the-kiosk cloning that plagues legacy 125 kHz prox cards. 7) I only need to control one door - is there an alternative to a two-door CDVI Atrium kit?

10) What power does the CDVI A22K controller need?
