1) Will the CDVI DGLP FN WLC26 prox reader work with my existing 125 kHz cards?
The DGLP reader runs at 125 kHz and reads CDVI, HID, Centaur, and most popular 26-bit card and fob formats. If your existing credentials are 125 kHz 26-bit Wiegand, they will read. Cards on 13.56 MHz smart card technology will not.
2) Can I mount this CDVI reader outside in an exposed entry?
It is rated for indoor or outdoor use. The PCB is potted in epoxy, the housing is rugged polycarbonate, and it carries an IP53 rating, so it handles dust and weather on a covered or semi-exposed entry. Operating range is -22 F to 140 F (-30 C to 60 C), which covers most North American climates.
3) What power and wiring does the DGLP prox reader need?
12 Vdc input, drawing 100 mA. Output is 26-bit Wiegand, so it lands on any panel or controller with a standard Wiegand reader port. Size your power supply and voltage drop on the cable run for that 100 mA load at 12 V.
4) Is the CDVI DGLP a standalone door controller or does it need a panel?
It is a reader only. It sends 26-bit Wiegand to a separate access control panel, which makes the access decision and drives the lock. No. The DGLP FN WLC26 reads 125 kHz proximity cards and fobs in CDVI, Centaur, HID and most popular 26-bit formats, and outputs Wiegand. 6) Does the DGLP FN WLC26 prox reader work on its own, or do I still need a door controller?

9) Does this reader tell the user whether the card was accepted?
