CL4210 Electronic Tubular Latchbolt
Fully programmable on the door via the keypad with a multiple range of functions.
The outside lever turns freely without operating the latchbolt. When a valid code is entered and the blue LED lights, the lever will retract the latchbolt. When the door closes the spring latch will automatically lock the door. The key will open the door for management functions. The key may be used to set the lock into Code Free mode so that anyone can open the door without using a code. Code Free Mode can also be programmed at the keypad using the Master Code.

No handing to specify. The CL4210 is non handed and fits doors hung left or right, so one part number covers both openings in a building. That makes it easier to stock a single spare for a mixed set of doors.
2) Is there a key override on the CL4210 if the batteries die or a code is lost?
A key opens the door and is used for management functions, so you retain mechanical access independent of the keypad. Keyed alike is available if you want several CL4210 locks on one override key across a property.
3) Is the CL4210 a latchbolt-only lock, or does it have a deadbolt?
Latchbolt only. The CL4210 uses a mortise spring latch that self-locks when the door shuts, with no deadbolt throw. If the opening needs a deadbolt for security or insurance reasons, you need a separate deadbolt or a different model in the CL4000 range.
4) How does the CL4210 keypad lock actually operate when someone walks up to the door?
The outside lever spins free until a valid code is entered. When the blue LED lights, the lever retracts the latchbolt. Close the door and the spring latch relocks automatically, so there is nothing for a tenant or guest to forget. Codes are 4, 5 or 6 digits and it stores up to 80 of them.
