Go by the stated volume: the ALRL-1 gives 4.3 cubic inches of wiring chamber. Divide that by the per-conductor volume allowance for your wire size from the NEC box fill table to get your count. The chamber is sized to pull conductors and make splices, and the throats are smooth for pulling.
3) Is the ALRL-1 conduit body suitable for an outdoor or wet location run?
Threaded conduit bodies like the ALRL-1 maintain a weather resistant conduit system when used with covers and gaskets, so the gasket is what makes the assembly weather resistant, not the body alone. Pair the die cast cover with a GKN-1 neoprene or GKV-1 composition gasket for exterior work. The body is UL and the die cast aluminum construction suits exposed runs.
