Delaney Hardware BD0064 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the 1 3/8 inch spacer on a barn door lag bolt kit actually for?
The spacer sets standoff. It holds the barn door rail 1-3/8 inches off the wall or header so the door hangers, and the door itself, clear the door casing and trim as the door rolls past. The lag bolt passes through the spacer into the wall backing. Without the right standoff the door binds on the casing.
2) Can I buy replacement lag bolts and spacers for a Delaney barn door kit without buying a whole new track?
Yes. The Delaney barn door lag bolt and spacer is sold as a mounting part on its own, so a lost, stripped, or wrong-finish bolt can be replaced without ordering another rail or hanger set.
3) What finishes does the Delaney barn door lag bolt and spacer come in?
Three finishes: Black (US19), Oil-Rubbed Bronze (US10B), and Satin Nickel (US15). Pick the one that matches the barn door track and hangers already going on the opening, since this hardware sits exposed on the wall or header face where the rail mounts.
