Delta Breez VCA725LED-HEWH – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Is a 72 inch ceiling fan too big for my room, or do I need the smaller size?
A 72 inch blade span is a large-room fan. It moves up to 7,900 CFM, which suits open living and dining rooms, big bedrooms, and light commercial spaces like restaurant dining rooms, hotel lobbies, and offices. In a small bedroom or bath that much air movement is more than you need and the sweep will crowd the space, so step down to a smaller span there.
2) Does the Pleasanton ceiling fan need a wall switch, or is it remote only?
Control is by handheld remote. A fan/light remote is included with 6 speeds and a reverse function, and pairing it to the fan is done at install. There is no wall control supplied, so plan on a constant-hot supply at the outlet box rather than relying on a switched leg for speed and light control.
3) Can the LED light on this Delta Breez fan be dimmed, and can the bulb be replaced?
The light is a 20W integrated LED module rated 1500 lumens, and it is dimmable from the included remote. Integrated means there is no socket and no screw-in bulb to change; the module itself is the light source. For an MRO standpoint that removes lamp restocking but means a module swap rather than a bulb swap if it ever fails.
4) Can I run the Pleasanton fan in reverse for winter heat circulation?
Yes, reverse is built in and switched from the handheld remote rather than a slide switch on the motor housing. That matters on a 72 inch fan mounted high in an open room, since you are not getting on a ladder each season to flip direction.
5) Does the Delta Breez Pleasanton qualify for ENERGY STAR utility rebates or green building credits?
It is ENERGY STAR qualified and was recognized as Most Efficient of ENERGY STAR 2023. Its rated efficiency is 339 CFM per watt, and the DC motor is what gets it there. If you are filing for a utility rebate or chasing efficiency credits on a multi-family or hospitality project, pull the spec sheet for the model you are ordering as your documentation.
6) How much power does this fan draw, and can I put several on one circuit?
Total product wattage is 25W, with 20W of that being the LED module. A DC-motor fan at that draw is negligible load, so standardizing a run of them across a lobby, corridor, or a block of units is not a circuit-capacity problem. Size the branch circuit to the number of units and any other load on it as usual.
7) What is the exact part number to order the Pleasanton 72 inch fan in black versus white?
Matte black is VCA725LED-HEBK and matte white is VCA725LED-HEWH. Those are the only two finishes in the Pleasanton 72 inch build, and each has its own spec sheet. UPC is 885917004262 for black and 885917004279 for white.
8) Will a remote-controlled fan like this be noisy over a restaurant dining room?
The Pleasanton uses a DC motor, which Delta Breez specifies as powerful and quiet, and it starts without hesitation at low speed. With 6 speed steps you can trim airflow down well below the 7,900 CFM maximum, which is usually how you keep a large-span fan unobtrusive over seated guests.
