Delta Breez VCA605LED-HEWH – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Can the Delta Breez Pleasanton 60 inch ceiling fan be installed on a covered patio or lanai?
Yes. The Pleasanton is wet rated for indoor and outdoor use, so a covered patio, lanai, or porch is a valid location, along with interior rooms. That same rating is why it shows up in light commercial work like restaurant patios, hotels, and resorts.
2) Does the Pleasanton fan need a wall switch or is it remote only?
Control is by the included handheld remote, which runs fan and light, six speeds, and the reverse function. There is no wall control in the box, so plan the rough-in for a simple switched hot to the fan and count on the remote for speed and dimming. Pairing the remote is done at the fan.
3) Is the light on the Delta Breez Pleasanton fan dimmable, and can it be replaced?
The light is a 20W integrated LED module putting out 1,500 lumens, and it is dimmable from the handheld remote. Because it is an integrated module rather than a socketed bulb, there is no lamp to swap out.
4) What finishes does the Pleasanton 60 inch fan come in, and what are the part numbers?
Two: matte white, ordered as VCA605LED-HEWH, and matte black, ordered as VCA605LED-HEBK. Same fan, same 60 inch span, blades and housing finished to match.
5) Is the Delta Breez Pleasanton ENERGY STAR rated for a spec that requires it?
It is ENERGY STAR qualified and was recognized as Most Efficient of ENERGY STAR 2023. The DC motor is what gets it there, and the 334 CFM per watt figure is the number to put on the submittal.
6) Can I run the Pleasanton ceiling fan in reverse for winter?
Yes, reverse is built in and switched from the handheld remote rather than a slide switch on the motor housing, so you can flip it for winter downdraft without getting on a ladder.
7) Is 60 inches too big for my room?
The Pleasanton carries a 60 inch blade span across five blades, which is sized for large rooms and open plans. In a bedroom or small dining room that span will crowd the walls and you would be better served by a smaller diameter fan.
8) Where can I get the installation instructions and submittal sheet for the VCA605LED?
Delta publishes an installation manual covering the VCA605LED fan, plus separate spec sheets for the black VCA605LED-HEBK and the white VCA605LED-HEWH. Those are the documents to pull for mounting details and for a submittal package.
