No. The 61 CW is cut for a 2-3/8 inch backset, so the latch prep indent and the 2-1/8 inch bore cutout land in the wrong place on a 2-3/4 inch backset door. Backset is measured from the door edge to the center of the lock bore, and the two common commercial backsets are 2-3/8 and 2-3/4. Measure yours before ordering and pick the matching Don-Jo wrap plate.
2) Can I use a wrap around plate to cover a chewed up or oversized lock hole instead of replacing the door?
That is what the 61 CW is for. It wraps the door edge and covers 4 inches by 4-1/2 inches of the face around the lock, hiding torn skin, old strike marks, or a hole that has been worked oversize, and it reinforces the area against further damage.
