1) Will the Dorma 7510 floor plate cover a BTS 75V closer in a center-hung application?
Yes. The 7510 is a universal cover plate for the BTS 75V floor closer and works on center-hung installations as well as offset ones. It measures 4-1/8 by 12-1/8 inches, so plan on that footprint of finished floor around the cement case being covered.
2) My door is hung on a 3/4 inch offset pivot. Is the Dorma 7510 the right cover plate, or do I need the 1-1/2 inch version?
One plate covers both. The 7510 is made for 3/4 inch and 1-1/2 inch arm offset applications, so there is no separate part to specify by offset. Pick your finish and order.
3) What finishes does the Dorma 7510 BTS 75V floor plate come in for matching the rest of my entrance hardware?
Five finishes: 605 bright brass, 606 satin brass, 613 oil-rubbed satin bronze, 629 bright stainless, and 630 satin stainless. On storefront and glass entrances the plate usually gets matched to the rail and pivot hardware, so 630 satin stainless is the common pick against aluminum and stainless rails, 605 or 606 against brass door rails.
4) How much floor opening do I need to plan for when replacing a BTS 75V cover plate?
The plate itself is 4-1/8 by 12-1/8 inches, so the finished floor or tile cut around the closer case has to sit inside that. If your existing tile has been cut wider than that from an older or different plate, the new plate will not hide the gap and the flooring needs to be patched.
5) Is the Dorma 7510 cover plate rated for commercial entrance traffic?
It is a commercial-duty part, sold for BTS 75V floor closer installations in commercial openings rather than residential use. That is the same service class as the closer it covers.
