1) Will the DynaLock 2250 mag lock replace an existing Locknetics 350+ or 352+ lock without redrilling the door?
That retrofit is exactly what the 2250 Series was built for. DynaLock states the 2250 is designed to exactly retrofit Locknetics 350+ and 352+ Series locks, so the existing surface mounting pattern and armature location carry over. It is surface mounted and works on inswing or outswing openings, single or double.
2) How much space do I need above the door for a DynaLock 2250 magnetic lock?
The 2250 measures 1-11/16 inch D x 2-1/8 inch H x 12-1/2 inch L for the single, and 25 inch L for the double. The height and depth are the numbers that matter at the frame: you need 2-1/8 inches of face on the header and about 1-11/16 inches of projection clearance for the magnet body. On a pair of doors, allow the full 25 inch run of frame.
3) Can the DynaLock 2250 run on either 12 or 24 volts, or do I have to order the voltage?
No voltage to specify. The 2250 is multi-voltage auto-sensing, 12/24 VAC or VDC, so the same lock drops onto either supply. Size the power supply from the draw: 583 mA at 12VDC single and 1166 mA double, or 335 mA at 24VDC single and 670 mA double.
4) What is the difference between the DSM2 and HSM2 options on the DynaLock 2250?
DSM2 is the door status switch alone: it signals whether the door is closed or ajar. HSM2 is the high security monitor, which includes that same door status switch plus the Dynastat force sensor, which indicates an efficient magnetic bond. 5) My opening needs delayed egress - will the DynaLock 2250 do that?

6) The DynaLock 2250 retrofits Locknetics 350+ and 352+ locks - what retrofits a Locknetics 390+?
The DynaLock 2250 is designed to exactly retrofit Locknetics 350+ and 352+ Series locks. If the existing magnet on the door is a Locknetics 390+, the Schlage Electronics M390RFK is the direct retrofit for that model, rated at 1500 lbs holding force with door status monitor, magnetic bond sensor and relock time delay.
