Custom Length Housings Series’ 3500, 3600, 3700 and 3800 may be used with any full size 2000 or 3000 Series electromagnetic lock except the 3006 and 3101B Series. Custom Length Housings 3550, 3650, 3750 and 3850 are designed for use with 2511 and 2522 Mini electromagnetic locks only. Custom Length Housings provide an unbroken sight line across the header or along a vertical jamb, for a less conspicuous installation. Installation is easy, standard locks are mounted in the conventional manner, a pre-cut track is installed in line with the lock and a “U” shaped channel is attached to the track, concealing both track and lock. Both track and housing ends may be field trimmed as required on all models except the 3700 and 3750.

1) Does the DynaLock 3750 housing include the magnetic lock, or do I order that separately?
Housing only. The 3750 Custom Length Housing ships as the track and U-shaped channel that conceal the lock, and the electromagnetic lock or locks must be ordered separately as a separate line item.
2) Can I cut the DynaLock 3750 housing down on site to fit my opening?
No. Field trimming of the track and housing ends is allowed on the other Custom Length Housing models, but the 3700 and 3750 are the two exceptions. Order the 3750 at the length you need, up to 96 inches.
3) I have one door with two maglocks mounted vertically on the jamb. Is the 3750 the right housing?
That is exactly its configuration: custom length vertical, to 96 inches, covering two vertical Mini locks on a single door. It gives an unbroken sight line along the vertical jamb so the locks and track are hidden.
4) I need a housing I can trim in the field - is the DynaLock 3750 the right pick?
No. DynaLock states that both track and housing ends may be field trimmed on all Custom Length Housing models except the 3700 and 3750, so the 3750 arrives at its set length. If field trimming is what you need, look to the other Custom Length Housing models such as 3500, 3600, 3550, 3650 or 3850, keeping in mind that 3550, 3650, 3750 and 3850 are for the 2511 and 2522 Mini locks while 3500, 3600, 3700 and 3800 suit full size 2000 and 3000 Series locks except the 3006 and 3101B.
5) Is the Securitron full length housing an alternative to the DynaLock 3750 custom length housing?
They serve the same concealment purpose but are built for different locks. The DynaLock 3750 is a custom length housing sized to 96 inches covering two vertical Mini electromagnetic locks on a single door, and DynaLock states the 3750 is for use with 2511 and 2522 Mini electromagnetic locks only. The Securitron FLH is a full length housing for the M32, M62 and M82 Magnalock. Match the housing to the magnet family you are installing rather than swapping one for the other.
6) What should I use if I need housings for a ROFU shear lock instead of a DynaLock mag lock?
Use the ROFU housings made for those models. The ROFU 21036 is a surface mount housing sold as a pair for the 8035/-002, and the ROFU 21059 is a surface mount housing sold each for the 8031-002. The DynaLock 3750 is a custom length housing for DynaLock 2511 and 2522 Mini electromagnetic locks, so it is not a fit for a shear lock installation.
7) Do I need to wire the 3750 housing, or does it just cover the lock?
The channel itself is a concealment housing, not a powered device. The locks it covers run on 12/24 VDC and are not battery operated, so your power and access control wiring goes to the maglocks as normal and the housing hides both lock and track.
8) How does the 3750 housing actually install over an already-mounted maglock?
The locks mount in the conventional manner first. A pre-cut track is then installed in line with the lock, and the U-shaped channel snaps onto the track, hiding both. No change to how the Mini lock itself is mounted.
9) Does the Aiphone KA-DGR housing have anything to do with the DynaLock 3750?
No. The Aiphone KA-DGR is a stainless steel housing for the KB-DAR video door station in the KB Series, so it houses an intercom/video entry device. The DynaLock 3750 is a custom length housing that conceals the pre-cut track and Mini electromagnetic locks along a vertical jamb for an unbroken sight line, and it is supplied in 628 satin aluminum.
10) Is a surface mount housing like the ROFU 21059 a simpler option than a custom length housing?
It is a different approach. The ROFU 21059 is a surface mount housing supplied each for the 8031-002 shear lock, covering the lock itself. The DynaLock 3750 uses a pre-cut track installed in line with the lock plus a U shaped channel that conceals both track and lock, which is what produces the continuous sight line to 96 inches along the jamb. Choose based on whether you want the lock alone covered or a continuous run.
11) What finish does the DynaLock 3750 housing come in?
One finish, 628 Satin Aluminum (US28). If you are matching existing DynaLock maglock housings on other openings in the building, satin aluminum is what you will be blending into.
12) Is the DynaLock 3750 housing suitable for commercial openings?
It is a commercial door hardware accessory, used with electromagnetic locks on access controlled openings. The intent is a cleaner, less conspicuous look on lobby and stairwell type doors where exposed maglock hardware is not wanted.
