Keyswitches may be used to control electric locks, shunt or activate security
panels, consoles or any similar requirements. The assembly is supplied with
face plate, bracketry, cylinder locknut and one or two switches depending on
model ordered. The user typically supplies the mortise cylinder and cam when
master keying a system.
Switch contacts rated 6 Amps @ 125VAC and are available momentary or
maintained, SPDT or DPDT. Switch assembly requires 1-1/2” depth clearance
and is shipped on single, double or narrow gang plates.

1) Does the DynaLock 7021 keyswitch come with the mortise cylinder, or do I have to supply my own?
The 7021 ships with the face plate, bracketry, cylinder locknut and the switch itself. The mortise cylinder and cam are normally supplied by the installer, which is what lets you key the switch into an existing master key system. The DynaLock 7021 is key operated: it accepts a standard 1-1/8 inch or 1-1/4 inch mortise cylinder with a bat type cam, so only a keyholder can change the state of the contact, and the maintained action means rotating the key to its stop and back to vertical latches the contact until the procedure is repeated. The Securitron PB3 is a push button, so anyone at the door can operate it. 16) Is the RCI 919 rotary release button the same thing as a DynaLock 7021 keyswitch?
They look similar on the wall because both are turned rather than pushed, and both are maintained. The RCI 919 series rotary release button has a maintained operation and a satin aluminum finish, but it is turned by hand. The DynaLock 7021 is turned by a mortise cylinder key, accepts a 1-1/8 inch or 1-1/4 inch cylinder with a bat type cam, and can be master keyed into the building system because the cylinder and cam are supplied to suit. If the requirement is that only a keyholder can change the state, the rotary button does not meet it.
17) What can I actually control with a DynaLock 7000 Series keyswitch besides a lock?
