That is what "right reducer" means: one side rail runs straight through and the reduction happens on the other side, so you can hold a consistent line along a wall or structure while the tray narrows. Order Eaton B-Line 6A-24-RR12. The number reads out as 6 inch depth, aluminum, 24 inch incoming width, right reducer to 12 inch. If your run reduces to a different width or the offset needs to fall on the opposite rail, that is a different catalog number, not a field modification.

Use the right reducer, model 6A-24-RR12, when one side of the tray has to stay on a fixed line, typically against a wall, a column, or where a cable drop lands on one side. A straight or center reducer splits the width change evenly on both sides and is what you want when the tray is centered on its supports and the cable path should stay on centerline. Left versus right is called out looking in the direction of the reduction, so confirm which rail is staying straight on your drawing before you order.

Aluminum. At 4.8 lb for the fitting, it is light enough to set in place by hand overhead, and aluminum tray is the usual choice for corrosive or wash-down areas and for exterior runs where galvanized steel would be a maintenance item. It also has to be paired with aluminum tray and aluminum splice hardware; mixing aluminum tray with steel components invites galvanic corrosion at the joint.

The reducer is the fitting only. Splice plates, hardware, and any hold-down or support clamps are ordered separately, and you need a set at each end since the fitting joins two different tray widths. Budget for the correct aluminum splice connectors to match the 6 inch rail depth on both the 24 inch and the 12 inch side.

It carries CE marking. If your specification calls out other listings or marks for the tray system, verify those against the system as a whole rather than the individual fitting.
