The AW1614PP is sized for a 16 x 14 inch JIC style enclosure. The panel itself measures 14.87 x 14 x 12.875 inches per the published height, width and length/depth figures, so it drops behind the door of an enclosure of that nominal size rather than being cut to fit. Match the panel to the enclosure's nominal dimensions, not to the inside clear opening.

No. The AW1614PP carries a NEMA 1 degree of protection, which is indoor, general purpose use only, with no rating against rain, dust, oil or washdown. For an outdoor or wet location you need a panel matched to a NEMA 3R, 4 or 4X enclosure instead.

It is the back panel that components mount to inside a JIC style enclosure. The perforations give you a pre-punched hole pattern so DIN rail, terminal blocks, contactors and power supplies can be bolted down without drilling and tapping the plate on site. A flat panel like the AW1614PP sits parallel to the enclosure back, as opposed to a swing-out or half panel.

It comes perforated. The hole pattern is part of the panel, so you are buying a plate you can mount to straight away rather than a blank you have to lay out and drill. If your build calls for a solid plate you can drill and tap yourself, this is not that part.

Order Eaton B-Line AW1614PP. It is a single configuration part, so there is no finish or size option to specify at order time, white powder coated steel is the only build.

Steel with a white powder coat. The white finish is standard on control panel back plates because it reflects light and makes wiring easier to see and photograph inside the enclosure. Powder coated steel also gives you a rigid mounting surface for heavier components, unlike a plastic or composite plate.
