1) Is the Eaton B-Line 4436 G wireway rated for outdoor or washdown locations?
The 4436 G trough is a NEMA 4X enclosure, so it is built for wet, hosedown and corrosive-duty locations, indoors or out. It is also CSA Certified. Keep in mind the 4X rating only holds if the screw cover is fully installed and all unused knockouts are sealed with rated closure plugs.
2) What are the actual cross-section and length of the 4436 G wiring trough?
It is a 4 x 4 inch cross-section, 36 inches long. That 4 x 4 gutter size is the common size for feeder taps and panel-to-panel gutters, and the 36 inch length lets you run it between two enclosures without cutting. Body weight is about 9.931 lb.
3) Does the 4436 G trough already have knockouts for conduit, or do I have to drill it?
It comes with 11 knockouts on the top and 11 on the bottom, so most conduit entries are already provided. If you open a knockout you do not use, plug it with a 4X-rated sealing plug or the enclosure no longer holds its wet-location rating.

5) How do you mount this wiring trough to a wall or strut?
Mounting is through holes in the back of the trough, so it fastens flat to a wall, backboard or strut run with your own hardware. Fasteners are not part of the trough, so pick anchors suited to the substrate and, in a wet location, use sealing washers so the mounting penetrations do not defeat the 4X rating.
